为普及地理知识，提高学生学习地理的兴趣，同时丰富学校文化活动，活跃学习氛围，我校初中部地理组近日举办了“最强大脑”——地理知识竞赛。

译：In order to popularize geographic knowledge, improve students' interest in learning geography, enrich school cultural activities and activate the learning atmosphere, the geography group of Junior High School Department of our school recently held the "Strongest Brain" geography knowledge competition.

祖国的壮美山河无法用语言和色彩摹尽状貌，地理知识也仅仅只是人类探索真理的千万分之一，因此，我们行路的动力不能断，求知的欲望也不能停止。

译：The magnificent mountains and rivers of the motherland can not be described exactly with words and color. Geographical knowledge is only one thousandth of human exploration, therefore, the momentum of our journey cannot be stopped, nor can the desire for knowledge.

如何在学习中激发兴趣、建立信心？相信同学们会在一场精心准备并且全力以赴的知识竞赛中找到答案。正确答案不是我们的唯一追求，向真理越来越靠近才能使我们越来越强大。

译：How to stimulate interest and build confidence in learning? I believe that students will find the answer in a well-prepared and all-out knowledge competition. The right answer is not our only pursuit. The closer we come to the truth , the stronger we will be.
